A family of badgers visit our garden near Ventnor on the Isle of Wight UK most evenings. We put out scraps of meat, vegetables and peanuts for them (badgers love peanuts!). Here you can see mother badger with her two cubs which we have named Skippy and Bumble. Source: Google Videos

IW Badger Facts

By 1909 no badgers lived on the Isle of Wight, in the 1920s the IW Foxhounds imported twelve to assist their fox hunting activities. There had been no foxes on the island either until the hunt imported them for 'sport'.

In 1991 two members of the hunt were found guilty of badger digging.

In 2009 police allowed the hunt to illegally dig into at least three badger setts.
